It is with great sadness that I write this of the loss of a dear friend, Raymond Ragucci. At 59 years of age, Ray succumbed to leukemia on Sunday, September 4, 2011. Ray was one of the many brave who worked at Ground Zero after the September 11, 2001 attack at the Twin Towers. Ray and his wife Rosalie own a vacation home in Sun City Grand.

This morning I received an email from a client who recently purchased a home in Surprise. They presently live and work in North Carolina with hopes to retire in 3 years. Warren and Pat have rented their retirement home on a full-time basis. They received a telephone call from their tenant regarding the garage door becoming inoperable. Warren sent me an email asking as to which garage door company I would recommend in the area. He was on-line and saw many, but was hoping to learn something from a person such as myself who might have had particularly good experience with a certain garage door company.

The Arizona Department of Transportation cameras are a positive approach to all those living or working around Maricopa County in Arizona. Most of my clients use them when traveling from Surprise to the East Valley or when driving to the airport. These cameras provide real time views of traffic. Did you know that Grand Avenue will be widened to 6 lines (3 in each direction)? On December 2nd, the Arizona Department of Transportation will be having a community meeting at which residents will be able to view the final design plans for the inprovement and widening of Grand Avenue (US 60) between Loop 303 and 99th Avenue (Lake Pleasant Highway). The windening will effect residents of Wittmann, Circle City, Phoenix, Peoria, Surprise, Trilogy @ Vistancia, Sun City West and Sun City.

Eve's Treasures located in Sun City Arizona has just opened a boutique thrift store in a new location. Eve’s Treasures operates by donations only. The proceeds of the thrift store go to support Eve's Place. Eve's Place is a domestic abuse shelter in the West Valley. It is one of the few shelter’s provide temporary housing for a female and children including teenagers.
